The hotel welcome, cleanliness, and breakfast were super! There are even complimentary spa style slippers in the bathroom. Excellent value for money.
The building and decor are a little old fashioned and definitely quirky but you cannot fault the service or location. Perfect!

Weymouth holds a special place in my heart as my Mum’s family all come from there and I spent a lot of my school holidays there. It has of course changed quite a lot but the beach is still fabulous for children and if you are happy to drive further afield there is Sandsfoot Cove which is a bit quieter than the main beach, and Portland with it’s exciting lighthouse to visit at the Bill. Abbotsbury Swannery is brilliant - beautiful and educational all at once and Monkey World just along the way is much fun. You can’t go wrong having a break in Weymouth.

We love Weymouth our travel time is about 90min away but we love to stay there when we can as there is so much to do. The beach is always clean and the dogs are allowed on a specific partof the beach in the summer. Good places to eat and fabulous old pubs to find out of town. The boot is a special little gem. The nightlife is good as there is always live music in the pubs. The harbour is a magical place to sit with a coffee or a beer and watch the bridge going up to let the boats go under. Also good shopping centre, a little run down in places but on the whole plenty of good cafes.

I have visited Weymouth ever since i was a child so it holds a special place in my heart. Its really dissapointing to see how many shops etc that are now closed though making the town centre look pretty poor.
We visited the Preston side of Weymouth as well though and this has got a lot better over the years. The arcades are fantastic, the scenery is superb and the prices at the cafes etc arent too steep either.

Very disappointed with present day Weymouth.
Very disappointed with present day Weymouth. Have visited Weymouth regularly over a period of 70 years, except for the beach, the town centre is very run down. Many shops, bars, restaurants and other facilities shut down. The streets were filthy and strewn with rubbish. In desperate need of a makeover and some loving care.
Will not return in near future.

Your typical seaside resort at the beachfront- loads to to, amusements, land train, donkey rode, good restaurants! Beach is flat, shallow and shady- perfect for kiddies!!
Harbour area is more cosmopolitan and beautiful, upper market cafes and pubs… really stunning views.
The town itself is a bit rough, with closed down shops etc. But all the shops you’d need! A lot of tourtisty shops to keep you browsing happily!
The room (Rm 101) was spacious, overlooked the seafront and extremely well equipped. The large shower was excellent. The room itself was [almost] perfect. Of particular note were the specialist reading lights beside the bed (often missing in the best hotels). The picture shows view from our window.
The serve yourself continental breakfast was fine but not exciting.
We stayed on a Friday night and on returning to our hotel after dinner out found a superb jazz party going on in the bar led by a lady who performs there every Friday evening.
A quirky themed hotel. Located in a prime position opposite the beautiful Weymouth beach, close to the town centre and transport links. The gorgeous grade II listed building has been beautifully renovated. My room was very comfortable and very quiet. Steve is a welcoming and attentive host. I loved the ‘library’ where breakfast was served - a very stylish mix of traditional and modern maximalism.
Very good breakfast with a large selections of e.g. fruit, cerials, eggs, toast, pancakes etc. All homemade by Trish
Short walk to the beach promenade and locatede very close to the town center.
Very helpful and friendly hosts (Mel & Trish). They took the time to help with parking and informations about Weymouth
The house/room was very fine. Everything was new og of good quality.
Lovely traditional hotel in a great location - clean and comfortable, and dog friendly. A short walk down to the seafront.
Friendly staff - greeted with a smile and hello.
Brilliant advice on how to access the coastal path and where to park for free. We had a fantastic walk to Lulworth cove.
Absolutely fantastic breakfast, with lots of choices.
The second floor room on the front has a wonderful view of the beach. The Lichfield House is much quieter than any of the properties along the promenade, which faces a busy main street. Alec and Suzanne were wonderful hosts. Alec was a great source of information on Weymouth's long history, particularly it's role ahead of the D Day operation.
The location of the Riviera is second to none...but most of the reviews were bad...so we booked it to see what it was like..and it wasn't that bad..
The hotel needs a lot of work doing to it... but the room were clean and tidy but there was a slight odour...the breakfast was ok.
We would book this hotel again..
Location amazing, just ran out of the sea and across the road into hot shower. Brilliant. Staff fabulous and very helpful. Some rooms a little tired. But hotel is refurbishing. Better breakfast elsewhere in town. Limited parking for disabled outside. Weymouth is so historic. Would recommend a visit.
This hotel is in a good place in Weymouth as short walk to the station and to shops, beach and bus stops so you can visit other places! The room ,the lovely lady owner upgraded us too, was big, good ensuite and even a fridge so you can keep things in it like milk! Plenty of places to eat too!
The hotel was a bit of a warren to be honest, an insignificant facade has been extended many times behind. But the welcome was warm and the directions to find our rooms clear. We ate out in the evening to experience Weymouth but the hotel breakfast was very good and well organised!
We had a fantastic time in this lovely and cosy hotel. We received a big warm welcome, and the lady was very friendly and nice. We only stayed for one night but we will definitely book again next time we will be in Weymouth. The breakfast was very good and rich of choice.
Very friendly B&B would definitely recommend a stay here. Food and service second to none. Great location with parking on site and rooms very clean and well maintained with a local pub on its door step. Great location 3 miles outside of weymouth.
So many things for kids to do, grounds and hotel itself were really nice and the view was awesome :) rooms were great and it was evident that they had really thought about families and what they need. Food in the hotel was nice too!
Vicky was amazingly friendly, helpful and fun. Hotel was very clean and perfect location. Great sea views.
The cost was really good value and for that I wasn’t expecting it to be so good as it was.
Lovely staff, attention to details, comfortable bedding and great breakfast. This hotel was the highlight of our weekend in Weymouth! Couldn't recommend it more.
