Everything! I can’t think of anything I would change or improve on. The small touches made it exceptional.

The Kings Arms is just a little way out of Penzance situated in a beautiful little village. We dined at the pub which was really popular with locals and visitors, the food on each occasion was superb as was breakfast each morning. Our room was nice with a view of the little church. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.
Featuring views across beautiful Mounts Bay, The Yacht Inn offers a restaurant and free WiFi access. Located in Penzance, the property is just 5 minutes' walk from the Isles of Scilly Ferry Port.

Glad we got tickets for the Minack Theatre and explored the Gobal Telecommunications Museum, took the Coaster bus several tiimes, including to Land's End and walked the Coastal path to Sennen. Enjoyed the Penlee art gallery, especially in the midst of reading "Summer in February." Enjoyed a meal at the oldest pub, and at the Longboat Inn. The staff at the Info Centre were the best - gave us so many tips and set us on the right buses.

i like walking on the promenade, along to Newlyn, took the Mounts Bay coast path to Marazion, took the bus to Trengwainton gardens- lovely to see the magnolias, rhododendrons and camellias - interesting walks round the gardens and a lovely cafe with friendly staff and good food.
Visited Trewidden gardens by bus and also took the train to St. Ives- a lovely scenic run along the coast.
Penzance town has a nice selection of shops and it is worth exploring the back streets and the area round Chapel street. On previous visits have been to the Morrab gardens and other parks. Penzance is easy to walk round, has a good bus service and the tourist information staff are very knowledgable and helpful.

Went in the end of February, it was a quiet time with everything closing by 10pm, and last buses leaving early, but it's just as lovely if not more so as any other time of the year could be. Even for hiking, if you get ready for the wind, the rain, the fog, the mud and the cold.

We came in February so not very busy.
We came in February so not very busy. Many places to walk around, lovely garden in the center of town. Great beach, St Michael's Mount very close by. St Ives also not far away. Great place as a bae to see Cornwall.
A five star stay with Ali and Mike and Elvis the dog . They were gracious hosts, the room was excellent in decor size cleanliness. I can’t remember ever having a better stay, both myself and Steph my wife would like to thank our hosts for a great stay and a much needed break. We would like to congratulate them on
achieving the no.1 slot of all the guest houses in the Penzance area for quality and value - a well deserved accolade for all their hard work. Can recommend Holbein House to everyone thinking of staying - five stars ! ***** 😀
THE ROOM WAS HUGE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. LOVELY BED. NICE VIEW OF THE SEA. THE HOTEL IS LOCATED IN THE MOST HISTORIC STREET IN PENZANCE WITH LOVELY ANTIQUE SHOPS AND NOT FAR FROM THE HIGH STREET AND WITHERSPOON JUST AROUND THE CORNER. LOVELY PUB DOWNSTAIRS WITH MUSIC ONCE A WEEK. THE STAFF ALBEIT A HANDFUL WERE EXCELLENT THEY ALL HAD TO CHIP IN TO DO VARIOUS JOBS DUE TO SHORT STAFF AND DID EVERYTHING WITH A SMILE AND WERE SO HELPFUL. I WOULD DEFINATELY GO BACK THERE IF I WERE TO VISIT PENZANCE AGAIN.
A very nice older building with well appointed rooms. Very close to the waterfront and great walks back to Penzance and Newlyn, where there were some great seafood restaurants. Close to St Michaels Mount, just remember to check the weather as you may have a bumpy boat ride in front of you. The hotel is easy to access and while parking is in the street, there is no problems finding a spot near by.
A hidden gem. Lovely little hotel, friendly staff, well served by buses to Penzance, Marazion, St Ives, Hayle, Land’s End et cetera. Right by the beach, and a beautiful walk along the coast path to Penzance or Marazion. Breakfast delicious and plentiful. Room facilities including toiletries, tea and coffee and towels plentiful. Good food in the bar in the evenings.
The decor of the property, in the lounge, bedroom and staircases was just beautiful. A lot of thought has gone into it for sure. Also the service was amazing in terms of checkin process and receiving new/clean teabags and towels etc. This was our first hotel stay in Penzance and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else now that we've been here.
We stayed at the queens hotel as we had a wedding in Penzance, we absolutely loved the hotel, all the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the hotel has a very family, homely vibe, the breakfast is delicious, all fresh local produce, great quality, we will definitely stay here again,
Very cosy house. The owner thought of everything, the house has all you need for the holiday with family or friends, plus it’s pet friendly.
This was our third time in Penzance, but first tending a cottage instead of hotel, and we will stick with cottage offers from now on :).
Strongly recommend!
I loved the Gulval location - on the edge of Penzance, easy to walk to the centre of town, but a real village atmosphere. Friendly staff, popular pub but not noisy at night. We walked to the Tremeneere sculpture park (lovely, but I think it's more than the three miles they say on the sign).
Quality hotel, spacious clean comfortable rooms, breakfast cooked to order, welcoming helpful staff. Old traditional hotel that had style. About a 15 minute walk from bus/rail station, but location is superb on promenade with views across to The Lizard and to Newlyn.
I really like the staff here, who are elderly people with the utmost euthusiasm and passion with this work, which should be appreciated by every working person. Salute! The location of this hotel is pretty good, and you can have the seaview from your window!
Very comfortable and clean. I loved the in-room breakfast. Excellent shower. Good location close to Penzance promenade. Landlord kindly looked after luggage while I day-tripped. Communication with hotel very courteous and efficient.
1. Quiet, sheltered location surrounded by mature gardens.
2. Perfect location for exploring key tourist locations. Plenty to do within 30 minute drive.
3. Key amenities in Newlyn and Penzance within 5-10min drive.
Great location, just off the A30 very close to Penzance. Clean and tidy with all items available to make our short stay very comfortable. Friendly, attentive hosts with great communication.
Very authentic English hotel with check in in the bar! Clean rooms, a little old-looking, but very nice stay. We had a great view of the port from one of the top floor rooms.
very friendly hotel - we had a lovely big room with a view of St Michael’s Mount and looking down over Penzance - Dinner was quite delicious and the staff were lovely
great location, easy walk to Penzance train station, very clean, great light breakfast, great washroom, very quiet, close to a lovely pub, Wi-Fi was excellent
Nice cozy hotel and good location between Penzance and Newlyn, right on the coast. Friendly team. We only stayed one night and did not use the restaurant/bar.
