Bed was very comfortable & the shower was super!

City with a dated shopping centre and lots of restaurants but not much more. Cathedral and grounds, museum and Cathedral Square well worth visiting. Lots of old buildings but lots of rubbish, streets were grubby and littered!

Peterborough came across as poor and unloved.
Peterborough came across as poor and unloved. I walked through the centre of town on a Wednesday night around 10:30 and did not feel safe - not normally affected like this. There are groups of homeless people around the town, not necessarily bothering people but they need support and shouldn’t be left to roam the streets. Beautiful cathedral, nice new shopping centre. The rest of the town a bit run down, many homeless people.... We should have gone for a curry instead of having dinner at the bull.... Hotel ideally located if you haven’t got much time, 5 minutes to cathedral nly! Car park at the back of hotel convenient, too, but not easy to find

Cathedral area well worth a visit.
Cathedral area well worth a visit. Nene Park area lovely with good flat walking and nice refreshments available. Excellent pitch n putt course. Nene valley railway station at Peterborough worth a visit to eco garden area. Plus train trips. Flag fen on outskirts is definitely worth a look, really interesting and a nice walk too. Like all cities there are some less charming areas! But some good cafes in town, Gossip good coffee and Fratellis in Rivergate for coffee and breakfast. Oh and East on the river for Asian fusion food and to sit in a boat!

Riley your hotel staff is another level of customer service. I've been a manager for over 10 years and I have never came across an employee like Riley ! She is a credit to Dragonfly Hotel. Even the checking in she was so welcoming - then with my car issue she had gone above and beyond too help me - you will be expecting a thank you present for Riley please ensure she receives it xx I placed also 🥉

My standard double room was a good size, clean with a very comfortable bed. Close to city centre, has free parking and rooms are spacious clean and comfortable with air-conditioning. A limited cooked breakfast range is included and brought to your room which is perfect for me. Turkish restaurant next door is very good indeed. Breakfast was served in your your room at your selected time. There was a choice of items both hot and cold. There was no seperate bar but you could get drinks from the attached restaurant. There was free car parking and the car parked was secured overnight. Its about a 10 minute walk from the main town centre.

The Car Park was of an average size (We arrived at 9am and they were happy for me to leave the car whilst in London and check in later). Good location in the centre of Peterborough, not so good that it's on the ring road. The room was comfortable.
