Perfect location in the very centre of Glastonbury. So very close to Hight street and we would see the Abbey from our window. Friendly helpful staff, very welcoming and family atmosphere! We really enjoyed our stay there. Highly recommended! There is a small parking lot behind the property where we could park. There is a restaurant and pub downstairs. Delicious food for a very good prices!
The Lion at West Pennard is set in West Pennard, 5 km outside Glastonbury and 39 km from Bath. This 15th century pub, offers refurbished en suite room and log fires.

The back up fizzy beer was pleasant. The room had a desk. Breakfast was pretty good: I could have gobbled more, but I'm a quality kinda guy; and my mind was elsewhere trying to figure out how to solve the 'no internet' crisis before my impending online meeting.
The High Street in Street has plenty of choice for eating...
The High Street in Street has plenty of choice for eating and drinking and, of course, the Clarks Village is just a minute's walk away. The Bear Inn, is a fabulous pub, restaurant and hotel all in one. There is also a Fondo Lounge on the High Street, a great ecclectic bar/restaurant brand which we love. Not far at all from Glastonbury too, so you can pop in and out without paying Glastonbury prices! There is also an outside public swimming pool for any adventurous tourists. We didn't use the buses but there were plenty of them around. Street is a compact, well connected and well resourced satellite town, and a great base for travelling inland and coastal Somerset.

Great shopping centre just across the road from The Bear Inn.
Plenty of things to do. Glastonbury great for eating and little shop.
Street good for larger outlets and coffee bar with snack quick bites to eat.
If you want easy access to the shopping at Street then The Bear Inn is the best place to stay.

Clarks village is great for shopping at discount designer prices and easy to navigate around. Nice place for food and drinks. Glastonbury high Street not far, recommend a walk up the Torr, recommend Rainbows end Cafe. Breakfast in the Bear was lovely. The Bear is a nice pub to meet friends for drink and food.

Lovely place Street, Clarks Shopping Village, the market and the high street shops plenty to see and the eateries there are many choices in and around. We used this as our base to travel to other points within Somerset although not many miles from other places it takes a long time to travel, little streets mainly the issue, obviously expected though (i.e. 15 miles took 36 mins driving). We went to Ivythorn Sporting, if you like range shooting then this is the best place around, Steve, fabulous man very informative and helped us make the most of our stay whilst in Somerset. Walking Brean Down was wonderful so much history to see, well worth the walk and the lovely cafe's on site. If you haven't been then it is well worth a visit. Very close proximity to lots of the coast line, Cheddar Gorge, we had the most fantastic Thai meal at ZenThai and also fish and chips in Cheddar. Most of all the weather was very kind and the sun shone for a short stay. We will return again.

Stay are helpful and kind and the food good, however All the staff are young and I feel lack experience
This is reflected in the rooms
Our room rm 12 air con not working meaning windows had to be open pub / bar very noisy and traffic loud bathroom had mouldy tiles and a rusty bath tv remote hardy worked and the windows were filthy all little things easy to put right back t hadn’t been.
Other guests we found out had complained and had been moved.
Such a shame as it should be a lovely getaway location we stayed last year totally different experience

Good base for sightseeing in the area, Glastonbury, Wells and Frome within easy reach. Large retail outlet with lots of well known names and plenty of parking in middle of village. Useful bus service so car not essential
Useful overnight stay on our way home for from the West Country. Street itself is a pleasant little town after the shoppers have left and has a number of eating places including a Wetherspoons and a Chinese Retaurant (the one we used) all within walking distance of where we stayed. Host was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is self-service, continental. Decent sized room but small en suite
My sincerest thanks to Jo for your warm hospitality!! You know exactly what the travellers need. We were so impressed by what you have thoughtfully prepared for us. Hygge Somerset is a beautiful place, so cozy with good location (esp for Millfield parents), very friendly neighbourhood, nice room with comfy bed, good breakfast with so many choices... Hygge Somerset is highly recommended!
Amazing stay for one night
We ate out so didn't use kitchen facilities but all looked great!
We would definitely stay again when in the area
Lovely quiet area parked outside fine
My autistic daughter said she would stay again rather than in a noisy hotel so that's fab
5 minute walk to restaurants and Morrisons corner shop up the road
The continental breakfast was fine and the one full breakfast I had was good and my room was clean. The wifi was helpful in keeping up with things while away. The bus stop is five minutes away for going to surrounding places of interest like Glastonbury, Wells and Bridgewater. Street has a market on Sunday and quite the shopping centre.
I liked everything about this hotel from the staff being helpful and efficient. The rooms are to a high standard. Very close also to all the shops and the places I need to get to, Have stayed a few times and would go back. The management and team made my stay perfect and the breakfast was lovely.
Our room was clean and tidy. I liked the room having a small fridge - very useful on a hot day. The shower was excellent - hot and good water pressure. The hotel was in a good location for visiting the town centre. I would definitely be happy to stay there again in the future.
Perfect place to stay, free parking, no stairs, quiet, easy unloading and loading, Clark's Shopping village outlet 10 minutes walk, 20 minutes easy drive off the M5. The second time I've stayed and won't be the last when I'm in Somerset.
Good place to stay in Street. Very close to Glastonbury. Prices were acceptable. Breakfast included in price of rooms. A pint of San Miguel was £4.50. Staff were friendly. Free Parking at the rear of the property. Bed was okay.
The property was spacious and very clean. It had everything you could need … a home away from home. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a few days in Somerset… a great base to explore the area.
Modern, clean and spacious with the most enormous comfy bed. Great location for glastonbury and the surrounding areas. So much nicer than a hotel. Would definitely stay again
Great helpful front of Staff at the hotel who catered my queries.
Good location on the High Street with plenty of parking
I good a good rate for my room and breakfast
Great location to visit the surrounding area Glastonbury, Weston-Super-Mare, Longleat, Stonehenge & Salisbury, Bath and the very local outlet village in Street.
